This past weekend Maison went to a friend's birthday party. It was at this place where they have huge inflated things to jump in. Everyone (parents included) had a blast. The place also had a rock wall to climb. The kids had to be hooked up to a harness because the wall went all the way up to the ceiling which was about 25 feet high. As soon as Maison saw the wall she ran right over and wanted to climb it. On her first try she climbed just a couple feet up, but as soon as they got her out of the harness she wanted to try again. She waited her turn and got back in the harness and climbed about 6 more times. She would have kept climbing even when it was time for cake and ice-cream if they would have let her. I was so proud of her! Every time she tried it again she got a little braver and climbed a little higher. She ended up climbing higher than all the other kids her age. Her face was so intent on what she was doing and she reached and stretched to get to the next hold and pull herself up. I could tell she was nervous with each step, but she continued to climb higher. That is courage. Being afraid, but doing it anyway. Way to go, Maison! Keep climbing those mountains!

Good for her! My kids LOVE those rock climbing walls!
"Way to go Maison! Keep climbing those Mountains!" What a wonderful play on words and it perfectly sums up this post. You should be proud, Mama! :)
Wow! She did great- overcoming her fears and outperforming everyone.
What a brave little chica! Way to go!
That's great of her to do that! I don't think I even have the guts to climb a rock wall.
