Spring Has Sprung!!

We recently had family pictures taken by the lovely and talented Sara E. Rose (check her site out here) and I am so happy with how they turned out. Of course, I am highlighting Maison in her Blue Flower Dressy Dress from Coco Bonbons Spring collection in this post. It was the perfect dress for these pictures. The bright and whimsical colors and pattern looked great with her beautiful smile.

My daughter, Maison, absolutely loves the knit dresses with the ruffles. She has one in each color and wears them all the time because they are so comfortable, and also have the "twirl factor" which we all know is very important. The pictures on the website do not do the dresses justice, in my opinion. Here are some pictures of Maison in one of the knit dresses and also in the Blue Flower Print dress and tights. These pictures are not the greatest quality, but I wanted you to see how adorable they are when worn. The pink and red knit ruffle dresses are perfect for Valentine's Day, and we all know how chilly those Easter egg hunts can be. Buy now and save yourself time and money!

The Seasons are Changing...and Maison is Growing!

The weather is starting to cool down and Maison is super excited about Halloween. She was excited last year, but she really understands what is going on this year and is very "into" wanting to make her costume and going trick-or-treating. She went to bed last night and after she had been in laying down for a few minutes, she yelled out to me: "Is it going to be Halloween in the morning?" I thought that was so cute! I haven't shown her what day Halloween is on the calendar, and it looks like I need to get on that!

Maison was asking me questions the other day about days of the week: "How do you know what day it is?" I answered that I look on the calendar. "But how do you know without looking on the calendar?" I answered that the days go in order, so since it was Thursday yesterday, today must be Friday, etc. "But how did it start? How do you know it is the right day?" I really didn't know how to answer that one except to say the calendar started a long time ago and people have kept track of it ever since. Such tough questions from a 4 year old!

The other day Maison wanted to get her paints out. "I want to use your easel, Mommy. I don't want to paint at the table or on the floor." "The easel it is!" I said. She was very intent on what she was painting, as you can see in this picture. I just love to see that look in her eyes. My little girl is growing up.

School is in Session!

I admit I have not been posting as often I would like. We've been busy! (As I'm sure most of you all have been as well.) Busy is a good thing in this economy so I am not complaining one bit. Coco Bonbons received a HUGE order a few weeks ago and it took our whole team working tirelessly (well, ok...we did actually get REALLY tired!) and some additional help (we called in all our friends who owed us favors) to get the order out in time. We did it!!! Woo hoo!

As you may or may not know, almost all of us here at Coco Bonbons are Moms as well. So, in the middle of the big order craziness, our kids went back to school, and most were starting new schools. How do we manage to do it all? We tend to drink a smidge once the kids are in bed. We are fabulous, that's how!

Here's Maison on her first day of her new school. It was raining, so she wore her Coco Bonbons Cupcake Raincoat (sold out). You may notice that she is no longer a blonde...that is a story for another day.
